We are hiring!

Our wonderful Admin Manager is unfortunately moving on, which means we are looking for a new superstar to join Tāne’s Tree Trust to keep us organized and on track.

From managing meeting admin to general office wizardry, you’ll be the glue that holds our team together while we work for the future of our native forests.

Office Manager | Tāne’s Tree Trust

Location: Remote / Work from Home (Hamilton/Waikato based) Type: Part-time / Flexible Hours (40 hours per month)

Are you an organised, adaptable administrator with a passion for native forests? Tāne’s Tree Trust is looking for a proactive Office Manager to keep our operations rooted and growing.

The Role

This is a highly flexible, work from home position designed for someone who thrives on variety and independence. You will be the heart of our administrative operations, ensuring our communication channels, trustee meetings, and member databases flourish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication Hub: Manage daily emails, phone inquiries, and PO Box mail to ensure our community stays connected.
  • Meeting Coordination: Lead the preparation for monthly in person Trustee meetings, including agenda creation, minute-taking, and compiling office/website performance reports.
  • Membership Management: Maintain our membership database, process new sign-ups, and ensure our supporters feel welcomed and informed.
  • Communications & Newsletters: Design and distribute our tri-annual newsletter, manage social media, and keep our website content fresh.
  • Event & Project Support: Assist with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and provide administrative help for grant applications and special projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • Adaptability & Growth: You are willing to learn new systems and take on varied tasks as they arise.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and social media is essential, alongside a comfort level with updating website backends.
  • Self-Starter: You are happy working from home and can manage your own schedule to meet recurring monthly and annual deadlines.
  • Detail Oriented: Exceptional skills in minute-taking, formatting documents, and database management.

Flexibility & Benefits

  • Work From Home: Enjoy the comfort and convenience of working from your own space.
  • Flexible Hours: We value results over “clocking in”—perfect for balancing other commitments.
  • Meaningful Work: Your administrative expertise directly supports vital conservation and reforestation efforts across Aotearoa.

How to Apply: Please send your CV and a brief cover letter to Mel Ruffell, [Enable JavaScript to view protected content] by 19th May 2026.
